Hi, I’m Rob.
A simple man from a small town, I grew up with a love and fascination with movies and how they were made which led me to pursue film studies and an advanced filmmaking diploma in college. It was definitely one of the best experiences of my life and solidified my passion for visual storytelling.
Shortly after graduating; my sister’s best friend happened to be getting married and she knew that I had just done this program so she asked if I would film it for them. I didn’t have any of my own gear so I rented everything that I needed and hauled it all up to Georgina and Sibbald’s Point on a beautiful September day in 2015 (one of those rare autumn days plucked straight out of July). I may have lost a few pounds from running around in that heat but I had so much fun. Really it was the ability to offer this wonderful couple something so special that they could cherish for the rest of their lives that made the experience so special to me. Now to be fair it wasn’t my best work; but we all have to start somewhere and every day is an opportunity to learn and get better.
I have since spent time working on large scale film and television sets as well as smaller scale short films, music videos and commercials. In the few years after that initial wedding, I had accepted some sporadic referrals from friends and family to do more. I had more fun filming weddings than I ever had on set and so I slowly began shifting my focus toward building my career as a freelance wedding videographer. I began contracting for other well-established companies in 2019 and this allowed me to gain a ton of experience in a short amount of time. Between 2019 and 2023 I have shot over 200 weddings and edited around two thirds of that number; it’s been an amazing ride so far with countless memorable experiences and so many wonderful people. Now I along with a few of my closest friends in the business are setting out on our own journey to bring our passion and experience directly to you!
After all, what better story is there than a love story.. specifically YOUR love story. You’re living it. Let us encapsulate the memory for you. It would be our honor.
